I've always been intrigued by the intricacies of CGI, specifically when it involves green screens and green costumes in filmmaking. The seamless integration of these elements into a movie has always been a source of wonder for me. In our recent lab session, this curiosity led me to explore the challenging world of AfterEffects, a part of the Creative Cloud suite. Of all the applications we've encountered in class thus far, AfterEffects proved to be the most challenging for me.
Navigating through AfterEffects felt like an intricate puzzle, with numerous elements, tools, and options to unravel. Initially, I found myself overwhelmed by the sheer complexity of the platform. The abundance of features, effects, and settings made it challenging to grasp the basics. However, as the lab progressed, I began to gain a better understanding of the software.
Towards the end of the session, I managed to find my way around AfterEffects more comfortably. I learned how to locate various effects, use the razor tool to split video clips, and adjust opacity levels. This newfound familiarity allowed me to appreciate the artistry behind seamlessly incorporating CGI, green screens, and green costumes in filmmaking. Despite the initial difficulties, I'm excited to continue exploring this creative tool and uncover more of its potential in the world of film production.
